Popping Up for QUOZhappens...

1. Capsule Arts - a platform for artists to sell through a limited edition print collection and artist commissions.
As part of the QUOZ happens event in November, Capsule Arts hosted their first Dubai pop-up shop. To celebrate this day long arts festival they had local artists working live in their amazing Al Quoz warehouse space, and Little Majlis couldn't miss the opportunity to 'pop in' and say hello...

2. We are so envious of the Capsule Arts space...

3. - 7. Artist Andrew Field in action and some of his work...

8. Some of Kathryn Wilson's pieces - unfortunately we seemed to have missed her in action...

9. Artist Lama Khatib Daniel's work - very striking.

10. - 14. Artist Matthew Ryder doing his thing (without complaining at us snapping over his shoulder!). Love your work Matthew.

15. - 16. Having recently purchased one of artist Khalid Mezaina's prints from Capsule Arts, we were rather excited to meet him in person. Thanks so much for chatting Khalid - we love your note book and recently purchased a few more at the magazine fair at The Archive Dubai (small addiction developing maybe.....)

17. - 20. Kathryn Ryan's charcoal work is amazing - that detail (and the patience!).

21. As you can see QUOZ happens was happening all over the district, with Al Serkal Avenue being the epicentre...

Thanks for having us Capsule Arts - that was the best afternoon we have had in a while.

Dubai based Capsule Arts provides a platform for artists to sell through a limited edition print collection and artist commissions. You can buy prints via their online store here and through a series of pop-up shops, so remember to keep an eye on the Little Majlis calendar for dates. But be warned they are hard to resist (and the prices are rather tempting too!).
